What sorcery is this!?
[He was quick to correct himself, it seemed, and Fluttershy couldn’t help but smile. If he actually wanted to spend time with her animals, she wouldn’t object to it at all. In fact, it delighted her.]
O-Oh, no, thank you! It’ll be wonderful to have company a-and someone to talk to and—-
[My, she thought, I sound awfully silly, don’t I?]
T-This will be fun! I’ll make sure of it. I-I promise.
[Maybe she could make a pile of leaves for him to jump into— he could climb a tree, couldn’t he?]
“Good! I could use some fun after everything that’s been going on recently. Yes, this will be nice, principessa.”
He smiled at her, admiring her smile and her beauty. Things were starting to look up for him. He realized that they had been looking at each other in silence for quite a few seconds.
“So, uh, what do you want to now?”

“Well, vacation isn’t exactly the word I would use for it, but sí, I guess I could always do something like that. I would have to keep in contact with the guild in case something happened, but that most likely wouldn’t be a problem. In terms of the fighting, that shouldn’t be a problem either. It would just be determining a place to stay…”
He hoped with all his might that she would offer to let him stay there, but why would she do that? Sure, they were friends, but letting him stay there on a “vacation” seemed ridiculous. He tried to surpress his hope, but he couldn’t help but feel a little light headed from the prospect.
Y-You’re welcome to stay here if you’d like. I-It’s not very exciting, but I could get a room ready for you …
[Company would be nice; someone to cook for in the morning other than the animals, a person to talk to every day … Yeah, Fluttershy liked the sound of that.
Besides, she certainly felt safe with Ezio around. A bit intimidated when she remembered just what the bracers on his arm were for, and never mind the throwing knives and sword, armor and hood that he normally wore.]
I-I mean, I’m sure you have other people you’d rather stay with—- …
T-The … constant company of woodland creatures is an acquired taste, s-so I’ve been told . ..
He heart flew at the offer, and he felt even more lightheaded than before. He quickly regained his senses though, and heard her last few comments.
“No! Um, what I mean is that, I would love to stay here with you. I’d, uh, rather stay here with you…”
!
“It will be nice to get away from the assassin life for a while and spend time with you and your animal friends,” though sometimes he wasn’t sure if they liked him or not.
“Thank you, principessa.”

What sorcery is this!?
[Fluttershy felt her cheeks flush, warming up almost instantly. Truthfully, she hadn’t thought about it— … his life was different than hers, of course he’d like peace and quiet.
But beautiful? Oh, my …
She hadn’t heard words as sweet for such a long time.]
W-Well … You could always take a vacation.
[Assassins … that’s what they were— people who killed others for god knows what reason— … were they allowed to have breaks? They didn’t have a boss, did they? And if they were, well, Ezio Auditore was one of the masters, or so they said. He could give himself a break whenever he wanted to.]
I-It might do you some good.
[A soft laugh escaped past her lips, and she gently brought her free hand up to her mouth in a shy manner, hoping her next comment wasn’t too out there.]
Y-You wouldn’t have to worry about getting into fights if you’re on vacation … right?
“Well, vacation isn’t exactly the word I would use for it, but sí, I guess I could always do something like that. What sorcery is this!?
[Sure, she was a bit disappointed, but that wouldn’t bother her. If anything, it meant he’d be safe! Who knows how safe those carts are, anyway—- and what if there was something sharp in the haystack? So many possibilities, so many things could go wrong.
The question, however, brought her mind back to reality, and she fumbled to answer it.]
O-Oh, well, nothing as exciting as what you do, I-I’m sure … A-All I do is take care of the animals and go for walks … visit the market and … t-take care of animals … Sing with them, play with them …
[Fluttershy smiled shyly, realizing just how repetitive her daily life really was.]
I-It’s simple stuff, really …
“Sometimes, Fluttershy, exciting get boring. Sometimes… A lot of the time, I wish I could just live a life like yours. Quiet, peaceful…”
He paused a second, trying to convince himself to make his next move. He tentatively reached out and took her hand.
“…beautiful.”

EZIO AND FLUTTERSHY SITTING IN A TREE K-I-S-S-I-N-G!!!!!!
Anonymous
“Stai zitto!” he said, he face flushing from embarrassment.

What sorcery is this!?
W-Well, if you want to …
[Fluttershy wasn’t about to deny him, and she had to admit, she was curious. She wouldn’t say that aloud, of course …
But where would they find a hay cart? Oh, if they had to go all the way to Rome for a cart of hay … Certainly he wasn’t that determined to show her, she’d hate to bother him like that.]
S-Should I bring bandages, just in case, though …?
“Oh, um, I’m not really sure where I would do something like that around here. I, umm, meant if the opportunity came up, I guess. Sorry to disappoint you.”
Good job Ezio. Good job.
He was eager to change the subject, “So, what do you like to do for fun, principessa?”

…
[Fluttershy hadn’t thought of how he actually got down from the buildings he climbed, and she was certainly shocked to hear that he jumped fifty meters into hay.
Wouldn’t that be itchy?]
… I-I’m more surprised that a cart of hay can cushion a fall that high, really … A-And wouldn’t the cart break from the force?
I-I wouldn’t mind seeing for myself, but … my goodness, it sounds so dangerous, Ezio …

“You know, I’ve never really thought about that, signorina. It sort of just… works. I guess that’s why the assassini call them ‘Leaps of Faith’” He shrugged, and then smiled a little.
“I could show you one time, if you’d like,” he said, desperately wanting to impress her.

What sorcery is this!?
[Fluttershy flinched at the touch, not from fear, but from surprise; she hadn’t expected him to place a hand upon her shoulder.
She felt her cheeks warm in embarrassment, and she waved a hand dismissively.]
W-Well, goodness, I-I don’t know what to do … I-I’d rather do something you’d like to do, m-my means of fun are pretty boring …
I-I mean … You climb buildings, right? I-I saw you climb up the grocery store and run across the roof, a-and your hood was up and …
[The shy girl had let her hair fall in front of her face by this point as she continued to talk on, fighting away the silence that tried to force its way between her speech. She brought a hand up and brushed away the pink hair that hid her blue eyes to look at him.]
Y-You looked really cool up there …
Ezio felt his face heat up a little as she brushed her hair back and complimented him. He ran his hand through his hair, trying to calm his nerves slightly.
Think of something clever to say, something that would make her smile or laugh. Come on Ezio, you’ve done this before, why is this so difficult now?

“Well, you know, that was nothing, really. You should see me climb the Colosseum in Roma! 50 meters high, and then, the best part is when I jump off!” he said with a laugh, realizing that would probably upset her more than impress her, let alone make her laugh or smile. He kicked himself mentally for it, “Oh, but it’s okay though, I mean, I land in a cart of hay, so I’m alright. It’s nothing to worry about, really.”
Smooth.

Ezio couldn’t help but let a large smile grow on his face.
“No!” he said a little eagerly. “I mean, no, I don’t have anywhere I need to be. I- I would love to stay and keep you company, Fluttershy.”
Keep it calm, Ezio.
R-Really?!
[Fluttershy couldn’t help but smile, too; she wasn’t expecting him to actually say that he would like to stay. Really, she shouldn’t have expected anything less from him.]
W-Wonderful!!
W-Whatever you’d like to do is fine with me! W-we can go to town, play with the animals—- whatever you’d like to do, Ezio, I’d hate to bore you … A-And you really don’t have to stay if you don’t want to …
I-I mean … R-really, you don’t have to stay if you’re not feeling well …
He laughed a little as she ranted on about all the things they could do together.
Don’t be a chicken, just do it.
He reached out and placed his hand on her shoulder and gave her a reassuring smile.
“Fluttershy, I’m fine. I’ll do whatever you would like to do.”

[Fluttershy stifled a laugh, biting her lip as a bird perched on her shoulder. She had never seen him so flustered before, but goodness, it was— …
It was, dare she say it?
Cute!]
W-Well, I’m glad I could help. I-It’s nothing really—- I’m sure a doctor could’ve done a better job than what I did …
[A thought occurred to her, and she found her mouth moving before she could stop it, voicing her feelings without her consent.]
I’m glad you came, though … Y-You don’t have anywhere to be, do you? I—- I could use some company.
Ezio couldn’t help but let a large smile grow on his face.

“No!” he said a little eagerly. “I mean, no, I don’t have anywhere I need to be. I- I would love to stay and keep you company, Fluttershy.”
Keep it calm, Ezio.
